Broadcasting on CloudyCams

What you need, what you are paid, and how each tool works. This page describes the site as it runs today, not a roadmap.

Requirements

Age: 18 or older. Before your first stream you upload a government ID and a selfie holding it. A person reviews it, usually within a day, and the photos are deleted once a decision is made.
Content: PG, in public and in private. No nudity, no sexual content, no sexual requests in chat or tip menus. Streams are sampled and checked automatically; a stream that breaks this is ended and the account is reviewed.
Equipment: A webcam and a browser, or OBS. Any encoder that speaks RTMP or WHIP works.
Account: A confirmed email address. Two-step verification with an authenticator app is optional and recommended.

Going live

From a browser: Open the console, allow the camera and microphone, pick a title, press Go live. The console tells you in large letters whether people can see you.
From OBS: In OBS open Settings → Stream, set Service to Custom, and paste the server address and your stream key from the console. Or download the OBS profile from the console, unzip it, and import the folder under Profile → Import: server, key and encoder settings come preset. Press Start Streaming; your picture reaches the console within about ten seconds, and by default you go live the moment it arrives.
Settings we recommend: 1080p at 30 fps or 720p at 60 fps, CBR at 4,500 kb/s, keyframe interval 2 seconds. WHIP is available for OBS 30 and later if you want lower latency.
If the video drops: You stay live for 25 seconds while it reconnects. After that the stream ends and you can start again.

What you are paid

Tips: The full token amount, every time. There is no cut on tips.
Private shows: Billed per minute at a rate you choose, from 6 to 300 tokens a minute. The first minute is charged when you accept. You can set a minimum number of minutes.
Spy shows: Optional. Other viewers can watch a private show at a spy rate you choose, from 6 to 60 tokens a minute. Spies cannot see the viewer's camera.
Token value: 1 token pays out at 5¢. Tokens spent by viewers who signed up through your referral link pay out at 7¢. Viewers buy tokens at 8.0¢ to 14.0¢ each depending on the pack.
Fees: None. No listing fee, no monthly fee, no bonus that expires.

Tools in the console

Tip menu: A price list viewers can tip from with one click. Paste an existing menu, one item per line such as “Song request - 25”, and it is imported.
Goal: A token target with a label. Viewers see the progress bar; tips fill it.
Private and spy: On or off, with the rates above. Requests arrive in the console with the viewer's name and how much they have tipped you.
Moderation: Appoint moderators. Delete messages, time out for 10 minutes, or ban from your room. Slow mode from 0 to 300 seconds.
Overlays for OBS: Tip alerts, the goal bar and chat as browser sources, from your console. No third-party alert service is needed.
Lovense: Link the Lovense Remote app by QR code, or use Lovense Connect on your computer. Set the tip levels, special tips and private-show vibrations in the console; viewers see the levels in your room.
Emotes: Upload up to 60 of your own chat emotes. They go through the same content check as your stream.
Referrals: Your referral link is on the earnings page. Anyone who signs up through it, or types your username at signup, is credited to you for good.

Payouts

Minimum: 1,000 tokens ($50.00). One open request at a time.
How: Save where to pay you on the earnings page, then request a payout. The tokens leave your balance right away.
When: A person sends the money, usually within 3 business days, and marks the payout paid. You get an email.
If it cannot be paid: The payout is marked rejected with a note saying why, and the tokens return to your balance.
